The Good Smile Company has revealed a new set of Japanese figma toys based on characters fromThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Good Smile is well-known for its variety of collectible figures and statues based on popular anime and gaming characters. One of the most popular lines it has is the Figma line, which gives fans a chance to own a detailed and articulate full-body version of their favorite character.Nintendo has collaborated with Good Smilebefore, giving fans the chance to own figmas based on itsMetroid,The Legend of Zelda, andFire Emblemfranchises, among others.
This newest collaboration between Good Smile and Nintendo will be based on three characters from 2023’sThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Fans praised the game for its interpretations of classic characters in the franchise, such as Ganondorf’s handsome but intimidating design inTears of the Kingdom. Link and Zelda’s re-designs in this game were also similarly praised. Piggybacking off the top ofTears of the Kingdom’s popularity, these three characters will be getting figma figures based on them.

These three figures were shown off at WonHobby Life 38, an exhibition in Japan that showcases the latest products and figures that are in development or will be available in the future. Good Smile gave fans a look at the figmas based onmajorTears of the Kingdomcharacters; specifically Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda. Link’s figure is already modeled and colored, where he is equipped with his default armor, along with carrying the Hylian Shield and Master Sword.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Figma Details
The Ganondorf figma is in its prototype phase, meaning it has all of its pieces and looks solidified, but has not been colored yet. Despite this early appearance, the figma manages to conveyGanondorf’s intimidating figure fromTears of the Kingdom, where he comes equipped with his katana. Good Smile confirms that Princess Zelda will be getting a figma, but it is early in development and has no figure yet. The early art indicates this figma will be based on Zelda’s white tunic-esque dress from later in the game instead of her early explorer outfit, likely holding a broken Master Sword.
WonHobby 38 also showcased a ton of other figures that are coming soon, including new releases in the Nendoroid, Pop Up Parade, and Figma lines. These are fromgames likePersona 5,Street Fighter 6,Nier: Automata, andXenoblade Chronicles 3, among others. The Link figma appears to be the closest one to being completed, though there isn’t a pre-order date for it yet.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to the beloved open-world adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This installment once again sees Link and Zelda battling to protect Hyrule from falling to Ganondorf. This new adventure takes place in the same land of Hyrule as Breath of the Wild but sees something called the Upheaval, which allows link to travel to Sky Islands, as well as deep into the Depths beneath Hyrule. Players can use special abilities to fuse together weapons, and build items to help them progress through the release.
