With over 17 years of history,World of Warcraftis full of small, harmless glitches players stumble upon to make the game a little better, even if just for a moment. One such glitch has allowedWorld of Warcraftcharacters to borrow the same ominous, misty-red appearance of the Sinrunner Blanchy mount while riding her.
Sinrunner Blanchy is one of themost popular new mounts inShadowlands. Old Blanchy, who met her end in the Alliance zone of Westfall duringCataclysm, can be found striding across the mires of Revendreth, now as a tormented spirit. Players who track her down multiple times and treat her well can unlock the spectral horse as a mount.

The glitch itself allows the character riding Sinrunner Blanchy to adopt the same translucent, ghostly red effects that she has. Shared by Redditor Suddentitan22044, all one needs to do to adopt this appearance is to use any toy that transforms a character’s appearance, such as the Orb of Deception or Gamon’s Braid, mount up on Sinrunner Blanchy, then remove the transforming effect. Doing this gives one’s character the red glow until they dismount. This exploit should also work with abilities that transform a character, such asthe Demon Hunter’s Metamorphosis.
This glitch has apparently been in the game sinceShadowlandsreleased in late 2020, but was only known to those who happened to stumble upon it. Now that it has become more widespread, it can join the ranks of some of the other weirdestWoWmount glitches, like the one which allows players to become a flying fire tornado, command a catapult that can one-shot most NPCs and players on either faction, or swim through the air.
Players always love finding these littleglitches inWorld of Warcraftto play with. Those who had collected Sinrunner Blanchy, but didn’t know about the glitch, immediately went to go and test it out on their own characters. Though it does not persist after one dismounts, the sinister aura surrounding one’s character astride the matching mount is rife with screenshot opportunities and makes for ominous AFK-ing.
However, like any unintended glitches, there is always the risk Blizzard could patch it out in the future. ManyWorld of Warcraftplayers crossed their fingers hoping this one would go unnoticed and unfixed byBlizzard developers, as it is harmless and cool, if not intentional. But for now, players can still Blanchify themselves, so those who haven’t collected the mount should be sure to do so now in case the bug is removed by the time they get around to it later.
