WithE3 in full swing, all the major publishers have congregated in one place to show off what they have in store for gamers in the future. This year it seems thatSquare Enixis no different. Set to hit the stage Monday, June 11th at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT, the Square Enix E3 2018 press conference will be streamed all around the world for fans to enjoy and can be seen below.
This is the first E3 since 2015 thatSquareEnixhas put on a showcase for so it’s safe to assume that there is plenty that the Japanese publisher has to show fans. The two biggest talking points will, without a doubt, beShadow of theTomb Raiderand the long-awaitedKingdom Hearts 3.Both games have already had some coverage at this year’s convention, appearing at the Microsoft press conference yesterday. While fans know that these titles are going to take center stage at the showcase, it begs the question what else Square Enix has up its sleeve.

The first and most obvious answer is, of course,Just Cause 4.LikeShadow Of The Tomb RaiderandKingdom Hearts,Just Cause 4wasshown off at the Microsoft E3 2018 conference. The difference is thatJust Cause 4was a world reveal so Square Enix is likely to capitalize on the newfound hype.
An obvious answer comes from another long-awaited title, one that was announced the last time the publisher was at E3, theFinal Fantasy 7remake. Since that conference in 2015, fans have had information regarding the game drip fed to them as they patiently await any word. We know that gameisn’t as far along as some might think, but it would make sense to use the E3 platform to keep the hype train moving.
Another serious possibility comes in the form of Square Enix’s currently untitledAvengersgame. First announced back in January of 2017, not much else has been revealed to the public other than that its development teamincludes formerUnchartedandDead Spacedevs. A reveal of a 2019 release date wouldn’t be all that surprising. Marvel and the Avengers are riding a wave of enthusiasm afterAvengers: Infinity War,so releasing the game to coincide with the upcoming sequel wouldn’t be a terrible idea.
Whatever it is that Square Enix has to show fans it is sure to be something special. The Japanese publisher has always been one to encourage strong fan loyalty and while it has no problems making fans wait, those fans are often rewarded with some of the best titles the gaming industry has to offer.
Square Enix’s E3 2018 press conference begins at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT on Monday, August 07, 2025.
