Ubisoft reveals that allWatch Dogs 2DLC will be released on PS4 before it comes to PC and Xbox One; the company also releases a new cinematic trailer for the game.

WhenWatch Dogs 2launches later this year, players will be able to roam the city of San Francisco as new protagonist Marcus Holloway aims to take down ctOS 2.0. Armed with new skills (such as Marcus’ bouncing RC vehicle and his billiard ball/rope melee weapon), players will have plenty of ways to take down enemies and fight corruption. All of these core gameplay features will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but at the UbisoftE3 2016press conference, the company gave fans a strong reason to buy the game on Sony’s machine over other platforms.

During theWatch Dogs 2presentation Ubisoft revealed thatWatch Dogs 2DLC will arrive on PS4 30 days earlier than PC and Xbox One. Unfortunately, Ubisoft has yet to provide any specific details about what this downloadable content will offer. However, the season pass for the originalWatch Dogsincluded everything from free in-game vehicles, new outfits and a new playable character (Watch Dogs’Bad BloodDLC allowed players to control eccentric hacker T-Bone), so there are plenty of possibilities.

TheWatch Dogs 2DLC’s timed exclusivity on PS4 marks yet another deal of its kind for the Sony machine. Later this year,PS4 players will get exclusive Destiny contentand Activision’sCall of Dutypartnership (which also sees DLC released on PlayStation consoles 30 days before other platforms) is also set to continue withCall of Duty: Infinite Warfare. That said, gamers on Xbox One have deals such asearly access toThe DivisionDLCand Origin Access for PC also provides PC gamers with the chance to play EA games days before they’re released, so perhaps it all balances out.

In otherWatch Dogs 2news, Ubisoft has also released aWatch Dogs 2cinematic trailer. While this new video doesn’t offer any new information in comparison to theWatch Dogs 2gameplay walkthrough, which featured a solid look at an entire mission, it does provide a more condensed version of that gameplay footage. For example, there’s a brief look at the aforementioned RC vehicle and melee weapon, while Marcus’ quadcopter drone and vehicle hacking ability also feature.

Marcus’ ability to hack just about every electronic device within the game is one of the biggest draws toWatch Dogs 2, which perhaps explains why Ubisoft has released two similar videos here. Though, with the game being so highly anticipated, many fans will appreciate any chance to see the game in action.

Watch Dogs 2is set for release on July 09, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
