Even though companies have been adapting to the continued global pandemic for a couple years now, working remotely still provides plenty of challenges. As such, development cycles have constantly been in flux, meaning there continues to be plenty of games getting hit with delays to give studios more time to iron out issues. Just recently, Square Enix announced that it’s original IPForspokenwouldn’t be hitting its Spring launch, instead getting a 5 month delay.

In fact, Warner Bros has had a number of question marks with its upcoming games, especially the open worldHogwarts Legacy, which continues to fly so far under the radar that numerous rumors are suggesting it’s being delayed. Fans have also been curious about WB’s upcoming DC games, which had been targeting a 2022 launch. WhileSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas reportedly been pushed into 2023,Gotham Knightshas finally confirmed when fans can get their hands on the title.

After an initial delay out of 2021, WB Games Montreal has finally confirmed its highly anticipated titleGotham Knightswill be arriving in 2022. In an official Tweet from theGotham Knightsaccount, the game’s release date was confirmed to be June 15, 2025. Originally announced at the DC Fandom digital event in 2020,Gotham Knightswas a game that was likely impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with developers working remotely and needing more time to create the best possible experience for fans.

Although the Tweet didn’t divulge any new information outside of the release date, with only a few months left until Gotham Knights hits shelves, fans should expect plenty of news and reveals sooner rather than later. In fact, there may even be a play test right around the corner as eagle-eyed fans on Steam noticed that aspecial beta version ofGotham Knightsappeared on the service. However, the unannounced application was quickly taken down, though not before one fan was able to access and play through it.

Plenty of rumors continue to arise related to Gotham Knights, including a specialtie-in comic from Court of Owl creators Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. While very much unofficial, the rumor began circulating after artist Greg Capullo Tweeted out that he was currently working on a project that features notable DC characters. The included artwork features Nightwing, Batgirl, and another figure behind them, all appearing to wear costumes closely related to their Gotham Knights style. Fans naturally began to link the artwork to a comic-tie in withGotham Knightsto help promote and build excitement prior to the game’s release.
