Two Point Campusis the latest simulation game developed by Two Point Studios, the developer behind hospital management andsimulation gameTwo Point Hospital. TheTwo Pointgames let the player become an administrator of a given institution in Two Point County, the fictional setting of the games. Two Point Campussees the player have to build up the reputation of their college or university, constructing facilities and buildings.
It seemed through thetrailers released forTwo Point Campusthat the game was shaping up to have a similar level of quirkiness asTwo Point Hospital, allowing players to create giant pies and burgers, while having their students enroll in Knight School. The announcement of a delay from the game’s initially planned release date of May 17 will come as a disappointment to many fans then, as Two Point Studios reveals its plans forTwo Point Campusin a new five-minute trailer. Studio directors Mark Webley and Gary Carr take prospective players through the dev team’s vision ofTwo Point Campus.

From Carr and Webley’s statements in the trailer, it seems thatTwo Point Campuswill expand greatly on whatTwo Point Hospitalwas able to achieve. “We always have a vision of growing our world,” said Webley. Something that the developer team talk about working on in great detail is the relationship players will have with the students inTwo Point Campusversus that of the patients inTwo Point Hospital. In the latter game, a player will only know their patient until they are cured, whereas Carr describes how there’s a chance to “really get to know” the students ofTwo Point Campus, suggesting they could bemanaged similarly to Sims in theSimsfranchise.
There’s also going to be another big change coming toTwo Point Campus, especially where construction is concerned. Now, players will have full control over what their buildings and facilities will look like. InTwo Point Hospitalbuildings were a bit more restrictive, and so this improvement will increase player choice in the upcoming simulator. With these big changes, it may be of little surprise to some thatTwo Point Campushas been delayed, as the developers explain they need more time to optimize the game fully for all platforms.
There isn’t too much longer to wait untilTwo Point Campusreleases, as the game is now expected to launch in August, “just in time before the new school year starts,” as Webley says. Two Point Campusis a planned Day One releasefor Game Pass owners as well, meaning that one of Xbox’s games for May will be out of the picture until later.
Two Point Campusreleases August 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
