Sharing a short video clip on Reddit, user WeswePengu showed that they were able to absorb a dragon’s soul inSkyrimwithout having to defeat it. In the footage, the Redditor’s character is seen fighting off one of the regulardragons found inSkyrimand slowly bringing down its health. Suddenly, without its HP bar being fully depleted, the dragon triggered the in-game animation that indicated that its soul was being absorbed by the Dragonborn. However, the dragon stayed alive, and the player had to fend off its skeleton which was still flying around them.

TheSkyrimcommunity had some questions for the Redditor regarding what they experienced in the game. Another comment mentioned that the player had uncovered the lore behind the Skeletal Dragon which can be found in aquest from the College of Winterhold. Others just had fun with WeswePengu’s experience, likely reveling in the many bugs and glitches the community has encountered in the game. One commenter even stated that there is likely aSkyrimversion of Murphy’s law and that if a “bug can happen, it will happen.”

With WeswePengu sharing that they were able to prematurely suck out a dragon’s soul inSkyrim, the rest of the community will probably be on the lookout for this glitch on their own playthrough.
