The infamous Adoring Fan makes his grand return to the cosmic sci-fi RPG from Bethesda, and players can get their hands on him inStarfieldto ring his neck, hire him, or simply tell him to get lost. There are plenty of ways the Adoring Fan can be of use to players inStarfield, but there are a few things they will want to know first in order to actually bring the character into the game.

Otherwise, he simply won’t exist.
Where To Find The Adoring Fan
The Adoring fan is an odd case inStarfield, as much like inThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, the player cannot find him. He finds the player. It’s creepy, and he knows it. The Adoring Fan will stalk the player, running as fast as his legs will take him as he spots the player and begins to beg to join the crew. However, to get the Adoring Fan inStarfield, players will first need tocomplete the first mission in the storythattakes players to the Constellation’s Lodge on New Atlantis.

After completing this first mission, players can choose to either join the Constellation or think about it for a while. Upon leaving, players can wander around New Atlantis to catch some air, or, head straight to the Spaceport section of the city to bump into the Adoring Fan, who will run directly to the player like a homing missile and refuse to halt the chase until he has talked to the player, and will immediately ask to join the crew.
It’s worth noting that players can attempt to outrun the Adoring Fan and travel far from New Atlantis, but there’s no telling how or when he will catch up. Rest assured, as he will catch up. Just, perhapsdon’t wait in areas or sleepif players really want to avoid his eager stare. If players rejected him initially,players can find the Adoring Fan at the Terrabrew Coffee shop on New Atlantis.
Is The Adoring Fan A Good Companion?
For the players asking if they should recruit the Adoring Fan as acompanion inStarfield, it’s worth noting the skills he has available.The Adoring Fan has Scavenging, Concealment, and Weight Lifting, meaning he’s essentially a glorified pack mule, and everyone at Bethesda knows it. Since the Adoring Fan wants to bask in the player’s presence with every moment of his life, he can also sometimes give players a random gift.

As a companion, the Adoring Fan becomes essential until he is fired from the crew. This means he cannot die, and will constantly pester the playerboth on and off ship. He isn’t the best companion to have due to his damage numbers, and lack thereof. So it’s best to let the Adoring Fan bask in the glow of his idol from afar. From very afar.

Players will want to initiate a conversation with the Adoring Fan and select “Do you mind if I ask you some personal questions?” From here, select “We need to talk about your fandom.” This will open up the many different ways of dealing with the Adoring Fan:
