Fans will now have to wait more than a year until it releases, but more information and content was shared at CinemaCon this week, such as the movie including 240 characters and six different universes. Further,Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s sequel, which was previously titled “Part 2,” has now beenrenamedSpider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Because there are 240 characters inSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, it would not be out of the realm of possibility to believe characters fromMarvel’s Spider-Mancould appear.Marvel’s Spider-Man 2will undoubtedly feature character skins for Peter Parker and Miles Morales that are inspired by the movie.Marvel’s Spider-Man 2is also currently scheduled for a 2023 release, and now that these release dates are closer to one another, it could bode well for how each is marketed in collaboration.

Potential Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Post-Launch DLC
IfMarvel’s Spider-Man 2comes out beforeSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, inspired suits could be introduced as a part of one or multiple post-launch DLC expansions, assuming it will have DLC.Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versereleased on December 18, just beforeMarvel’s Spider-Man’s Silver Lining DLCon December 21, so the addition of Peter B. Parker’s classic suit was a well-timed.
Marvel’s Spider-Man’s The City That Never Sleeps DLCarrived in three episodes, with Silver Lining being its third and final entry, so it was especially pertinent to have anInto the Spider-Verseskin included.Marvel’s Spider-Mancould have added the suit as a separate update like it did with Sam Raimi’s Webbed Suit, but it was a special treat for DLC players to have this unlocked as part of the in-game tasks by completing missions, side-missions, and other activities.
IfMarvel’s Spider-Man 2has DLC planned,Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s influence could produce many exciting additions. IfMarvel’s Spider-Man 2does release sooner than summer 2023, it is likely fans will see respective suits added once the movie approaches its own release date.

Potential Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Pre-order Bonuses
IfMarvel’s Spider-Man 2comes out afterSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, inspired skins could be marketed as one or multiple pre-order bonuses. This was the case withMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which featured acosmetic inspired bySpider-Man:Into the Spider-Verse’s Miles Moralesas an early unlock. The pre-order package also came with the TRACK Suit, three extra skill points, and an early unlock of the Gravity Well gadget.
TheSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Versesuit quickly became popular for its associated Vibe the Verse suit mod, which emulates the movie’s animation style using distinctive frame-pacing at a lower FPS. Insomniac Games could either choose to reprise this suit, its suit mod, or both in a sequel. However, a pre-order bonus that features at least oneSpider-Man: Across the Universesuit in its early unlocks would be another fantastic incentive.
Miles is seen to have a slightly altered suit inSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which could become a suit inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2. The disheveled and middle-aged Peter B. Parker has yet to be seen in a trailer or promotional material, but if he appears and sports a new look inSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,there is a good chance it will be added toMarvel’s Spider-Man 2as well.
Other Suits Could Come from Across the Spider-Verse
Ultimately, this would give Insomniac an excuse to revisit suits that have already been adapted intoMarvel’s Spider-Manwith better graphical fidelity, such as the Spider-Man 2099 Suit, and realize them inSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s unique aesthetic. However,Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Versehas teased a myriad of characters that will appear, and many of them could become the catalyst forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’s suit cosmetic inspiration.
For example,Spider-Man: India’s Pavitr Prabhakar has been hinted at in theSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s teaser. But withMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’s debut of Venom, Insomniac may have its hands full adapting its own symbiote in gameplay. Nonetheless,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2has a deep well to draw from for its potential suit skins, and it will be fun to see which ones make the cut when both it andSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Verserelease next year.
