A Reddit user named greatgarbonz has shared an image of thesword they created inThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. It doesn’t look anything special on the surface, as it only has a damage output of 7 and is valued at 385. However, players need to look at its bonus effect, which grants this sword a chance to paralyze targets for an astounding -2147483648 seconds, around 68 years.
Many users in the comments section discuss the possible effects of the number being negative, but it doesn’t appear to have any impact on the bonus. Even though the number of seconds has been displayed in negative in the description, greatgarbonz confirms thatSkyrimtreats it as positive and that the sword performs as advertised. While most of the post is filled with jokes, one user wants to use this weapon on Nazeem, one ofthe most hated NPCs inThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
The poster greatgarbonz sheds light on the process in one of the comments, stating that they used the fortify restoration loop to achieve this number. According to them,Skyrimplayers can take advantage of this exploit to make weapons that do billions of damage while also having an almost limitless amount of HP. Fans can also use it to max out thespeech skill inSkyrimby selling just one item, as greatgarbonz claims that the strategy can grant 2-3 levels in one go.
Greatgarbonz mentions that they are playing thevanilla version ofSkyrimon the Switch, giving them full access to this exploit, and possibly countless others, in their playthrough. However, it’s not clear if the exploit is working as intended in all available versions ofSkyrim, and a few users state that some mods disable it as well.
