Reddit user EmergencyDevice6663 recently shared aSkyrimscreenshot highlighting the body of Paarthurnax. The image shows that Paarthurnax died near a Stormcloak outpost according to the compass, and the Reddit user stated that the location is close to Orphan Rock. This landmark can be found betweenSkyrim’s Helgen Keepand Ivarstead, with the Falkreath Stormcloak camp likely accounting for the outpost symbol. Although the gamer claims not to have killed Paarthurnax, the dragon seems freshly dead, and he is in the process of releasing his soul. Based on the Reddit users' post, they’re perplexed about how the dead dragon got to Orphan Rock.
Paarthurnax is an importantSkyrimquest NPC, and there are ways that he can be brought back to life, according to the community. Two quests that may revive the dead dragon are the main quest, which offers the Fire Breath shout, and A Daedra’s Best Friend, which features a talking dog. Despite being resurrected, players who have had similar Paarthurnax encounters have stated that The Blades congratulate them on killing the dragon. Other locations where players have found Parrthurnax’s corpse include Whiterun, near a bridge, and falling from the sky. Players have blamed Delphine, witches, Mudcrabs, Lydia, and the wind for the dragon’s death, but it’s currently unclear how an NPC could kill him.
As EmergencyDevice6663 didn’t clarify what happened in their save to cause Paarthurnax to die, it’s likely the result of a bug. Although Bethesda doesn’t patch the game often, it’s possible that an update can fix this Paarthurnax issue.
