ARed Dead Redemption 2player accidentally created a burned horse while playing the open world western game.Red Dead Redemption 2is filled with horses that players can use to speed up travel time. They come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes, with certain horses having better stats than others.

Of course, the player character isn’t the only one that can use horses in the game. Many other characters can be found riding around on horseback inRed Dead Redemption 2. This includes law enforcement, who use their horses to run downplayer character Arthur Morganwhenever players find themselves on the ring side of the law. One such law enforcement horse was recently transformed into a burned horse by Reddit user Shot_by_cops.

The Reddit user explained that they shot a law man with incendiary shotgun ammo while playingRed Dead Redemption 2. Apparently, the incendiary ammo hit the horse and caught it on fire. The horse somehow survived the incident long enough for the flames to go away. The player then used a horse revive on the creature to bring it back to life, but it retained the damage from its burns. This gave the horse a unique appearance that helped it stand out from the many otherhorses found throughoutRed Dead Redemption 2’s open world.

Unfortunately for those wanting to get a burned horse of their own, the Reddit user confirmed that it reverted to normal after they fast-traveled. While this is good news for the horse, it’s bad news for anyRed Dead Redemption 2playerswho were wanting to add this kind of horse variant to their collection.

As some may recall, there once was an official Undead Horse variant inRed Dead Redemption. TheUndead NightmareDLC for the originalRed Dead Redemptiongave players the chance to ride a zombified horse. Many were holding out hope that Rockstar would create anUndead Nightmare-equivalent DLCforRed Dead Redemption 2, but unfortunately, it never came to pass.

While fans may never get their hands on anUndead NightmareDLC forRed Dead Redemption 2, it seems fans of the franchise will have something new to look forward to at some point in the near future. Reputable leakers have suggested that aRed Dead Redemptionremaster is in developmentand could release soon. It’s unclear if such a remaster would include theUndead Nightmarecontent or not.

Red Dead Redemption 2is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
