The user uploaded a video that shows their horse meeting its demise in one of the most unusual ways possible, getting hit by a train.

The short clip shared by THE_TURTLE begins with Arthur rescuing Reverend Swanson from getting killed by a train. This is part of the “Who is Not Without Sin” mission inRed Dead Redemption 2, where Swanson, aVan der Linde gang member, gets too drunk while playing poker and passes out. He then wanders off to a nearby rail bridge to kill himself, and Arthur must save him to progress in the game. Arthur manages to motivate him not to attempt suicide, but Reverend Swanson’s foot gets stuck in the tracks while a train is speeding toward him. The player has to run to Swanson and save him from the oncoming train; otherwise, the mission fails. In the video, the user ultimately saves the Reverend but loses his horse in a violent collision with the speeding train.
Initially, the horse seemed to be at a safe distance but was flung far away from the bridge when the train collided with it. Meanwhile, theRed Dead Redemption 2community on Reddit displayed solidarity with THE_TURTLE, while some found it hilarious. The original poster later clarified they had the chance to revive the horse, but they died by slipping off a cliff before reaching it. This is because if a player dies before reviving theirhorse inRed Dead Redemption 2, they lose it forever.
