Players around the world seem to have been obsessed with thePS5’s design ever sinceSony first unveiled the console. Not only does the new console take a large departure from previous PlayStations in both shape and color palette, but the overall hardware makes for by far one of the largest consoles in recent memory. Now, it seems one PS5 owner has found a way to take the odd-looking next-gen console and make it funnier.
A Twitter user by the name of Lina shared a video showing the head ofclassicYu-Gi-Oh!character Seto Kaibaand attached to the top of her PS5, created by her and another user, @JXP42. It’s hard to tell from the angle of the video how it’s attached, but the head itself has been accurately painted and looks as though it was pulled straight out of the anime. The video has a few other effects running throughout, as money rains from the sky, three Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards rotate in the corner, and Kaiba’s theme from the anime soundtrack plays in the background.

Kaiba’s head being added to the top of the PS5 follows up on a meme that circulated when the PS5 was first shown off by Sony. Thememe saw Kaiba’s iconic white coat exchanged for that of the PS5and its white fins. Perhaps the other most popular PS5 meme at that time was comparing the console to a Wi-Fi router, but other designs included the PS5 laying on its side if forming the perimeter of a soccer/football stadium, or Aku from the Cartoon Network showSamurai Jackcoming out from the middle of the console.
If players are interested in getting their own Kaiba head for their PS5, it appears that Lina is taking commissions. PS5 customization seems to be a trend that players could see continue during the console generation. This field of work doesn’t seem to be for everyone, though, as players recently found out with the company dbrand when it cancelledPS5 hardware skin pre-ordersbefore cussing out its customers.
While it’s perhaps likely that players can expect futurePS5 consoles to come in a variety of colors like black or red, Sony will probably never release a console that actually includes Seto Kaiba on the top. Despite most companies seeming willing to lean in to meme culture these days, there are some things that may always remain a personal, customized experience.
