There’s still plenty of time left in February, but manyPokemon GOplayers are already planning for the events of March. One of these events is theMarch Community Day, which will be focused on the dual Normal and Flying-type Pokemon, Fletchling.
Fletchling was only added toPokemon GOback in December of 2020 alongside a few other Pokemon from the Kalos region. This means that Fletchling will be the first Kalos Pokemon to have its own Community Day. Alongside it getting the spotlight, players will be able to catch Fletchling’s shiny form for the first time.

With Fletchling’s shiny form becoming available, players will also be able to obtain theshiny formsof the rest of its evolutionary line. This means players can evolve their shiny Fletchling in order to get a shiny Fletchinder and shiny Talonflame after the forms are added.
Players will be able to participate in the Fletchling Community Day on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at 11:00 AM in players' local times. The event will wrap up on the same day at 5:00 PM in players' local times as well. The shiny forms for Fletchling’s evolutionary line will not be available inPokemon GOuntil this event begins. These forms, however, will remain available forever after they are implemented.
In order to tell the difference between a shiny Fletchling and a regular Fletchling, players need to look at thebird Pokemon’s body. An ordinary Fletchling will have a gray body and wings, while a shiny Fletchling will have a light orange body. Both forms will retain the Pokemon’s orange feathers on its head. Players will not be able to tell if any Pokemon is shiny from the overworld screen in-game. They only way to check is by entering the capture screen where players will be able to properly see the Pokemon.
Unfortunately, there is no way to guarantee a shiny Fletchling to spawn for a player. The odds of finding one, however, will be greatly increased during the Fletchling Community Day. This means that players should useincenses and luresin order to increase overall spawn rates. Players should also try and catch every encounter with a Fletchling they come across in order to clear up the overworld map and build up helpful Fletchling candy.
to evolve Fletchling into Fletchinder, players will need to use 25 Fletchling candy. After that, players will need 100 more Fletchling candies in order to evolve Fletchinder into Talonflame.
