InPokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Terastral phenomenon is one of the game’s central topics while discussing Area Zero and its mysteries. As a Pokemon Trainer, players may use Tera Orbs to terastallize and alter a Pokemon. Terastallizing a Pokemon will change its type and give the creature a glistening, gem-like appearance for a limited time. The Terastral phenomenon will dissipate if a battle ends or the Pokemon faints, and players may test their skills against powerful Tera-type Pokemon in Tera raid battles.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayer Colmlukas created original designs for “Tera evolution” forms of Generation 2 starters Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile. In these original Tera evolution forms, the starter Pokemon appear to have evolved while Terastallizing. This reaction caused the starter Pokemon to evolve and gain power beyond the typical Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr evolutions fromPokemon Gold and Silver. These new designs were seemingly inspired by Terapagos, a mysterious Pokemon that appears in thePokemon Horizonsanime. Terapagos is one of the new Pokemon featured inThe Indigo Disk, but information regarding its type and exact origins are currently unknown.
Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile will be available inPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Indigo DiskDLC, which is currently scheduled for a release this winter. Moreover,Pokemon Homeusers who already caught these Pokemon may transfer them toPokemon Scarlet and Violetat no additional cost. Brand-new Tera forms for Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile have not been directly confirmed forThe Indigo Diskby The Pokemon Company, however.
Leaks suggest thatnew Tera forms acting similarly toPokemon X and Y’sMega Evolutionswill be featured in the newPokemon Scarlet and VioletDLC. As a result, some fans believe that unique Tera evolutions are likely if the leaks are accurate. Although such forms have not been officially detailed, these new Pokemon Tera form designs offer a glimpse into what’s possible inPokemon Scarlet and Violet. Additionally, the original concepts are faithful to the classic Generation 2 evolutions while maintaining some of the key design elements that make Tera forms so unique inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
