Ultimate weapons inPersona 3 Reloadare arguably the best weapons for each individual character you can get during your playthrough. Because of their rarity, you won’t be able to obtain them until the late-game phase ofReload. To get ultimate weapons, you’ll need to craft them at Mayoido Antiques. One example of an ultimate weapon is Masakado’s Katana, which can be wielded by Junpei Iori.
Mayoido Antiques unlocks on 7/18, but you won’t see the option to create the Masakado’s Katana weapon until you’ve obtainedaDead Moon’s Husk. This is a Nihil Material, which serves as the base for the weapon. The other materials you’ll need are:

You can get a Dead Moon’s Husk fromgreen chests(i.e: chests with a green ‘aura/line’), but the drop rate for the Dead Moon’s Husk is very low. One Dead Moon Husk can be obtained from the chest at the end of the Monad Passage on Floor 255. You’ll need to defeat theShadow of the Voidboss before you can reach it, however, and the chest itself can only be looted once. Otherwise, you’ll have to try your luck with ‘green chests’ on the Adamah Block.
One strategy for spawning Dead Moon Husk’s is to loot the green chest on Floor 251. To do this, you’ll need to:

You can also “reset” a floor directly above a warp point until a Monad Door appears. You’ll do the same as you would for the chest on Floor 251: Work you way up to the specific floor, then use Fuuka’s Escape Route, save, etc.
Where to Farm Gold Quartz & Ruby
Can You Buy Gold Quartz and Rubies?
As forGold Quartz, you’re able to trade x5 Silver Quartz or x4 Diamond for one Gold Quartz at Mayoido Antiques. However, you will need to reachRank 10of theJudgement Social Linkbefore this option becomes available.
Diamonds can be purchased fromthe bartender at Club Escapadefor 50000 yen. Like the Gold Quartz trade option at Mayoido, the Diamonds won’t appear at Club Escapade until you’ve reached the highest floor in Tartarus.

Once you have access to the last block of Tartarus, you’ll advance the Judgement Social Link for each gatekeeper boss you defeat. Thus, it’s possible albeit challenging (on a new playthrough) to power your way through the final block. You won’t be able to challenge the final boss until a certain date, but you’ll at least max out the Judgement Social Link.
The other method for getting Gold Quartz is to try your luck with green chests at the end of Monad Doors.

How to Get Ruby
You can getx2 Ruby(and x5 Diamond) fromTanaka’s Amazing Commoditieson12/27. This will cost you 99000, but it’s worth the money. You’ll also receivex3 Rubyas a reward for rescuingNobuko Fukuchi(goes missing on 12/22 with a deadline on 12/30). If you’ve already received Rubies via these methods, then you’ll have to get them bydefeating red Shadows on Floors 245-251.
How to Get Emperor’s Sake Cup
Fuse and Level Up Masakado (Persona)
TheEmperor’s Sake Cupis the final piece for crafting Masakado’s Katana. Masakado itself is a Persona that can be fused once you obtain theMasakados Key Item. You’ll obtain this after you’ve completedRequest #87 Fusion Series #9: Fool, Loki. From there, you’ll need to fuse Masakado using a Special Fusion. You’ll need the following Personas:
Tower
Once you create Masakado, you’ll notice it has a “Heart Item.” You’ll need to level up Masakado to get theEmperor’s Sake Cup. You’ll likely have to level him up a few levels, so the easier way to do this, is to have the Tower Social Link maxed out before Fusing Masakado. This will guarantee his level will increase upon being created. You can stack the exp gained from the Fusion by obtaining theLovers Tarot Card from Shuffle Time.
Masakado’s base level is79. The protagonist’s level must be the same as Masakado or higher.

Masakado’s Katana Stats & Effects
Is It Worth It?
Masakado’s Katana is exclusive to Junpei Iori, so if you’re not going to use Junpei in battle, then you’re better off saving your materials for another character. If Junpei is a frequent party member for you, then the Masakado’s Katana will be worth the trouble. Here are its stats:
Effect:
Since Junpei’s Theurgy Gauge charges each time he lands a critical hit, Masakado’s Katana will help tremendously. You can make do withhis Persona’s Physical Skills/Attacks, but if you’re sweeping through enemies, then you’ll want a solid melee weapon for him. Masakado’s Katana having the Apt Pupil Passive Skill frees up the Accessory Slot. Instead of having an Accessory with Apt Pupil for Junpei, you can have something with Regenerate 3, etc.
