AnOverwatch 2player discovered a new bug with D.Va, which increases her Fusion Cannon fire rate noticeably. She may be the next hero to be disabled in ranked play followingBastion and Torbjorn’s removal fromOverwatch 2due to a game-breaking exploit.AlthoughOverwatch 2’s developer team revealed more fixes on the way, players have been facing a multitude of serious bugs and issues that briefly prevent them from enjoying the ranked play. As of late, similar hero issues have been surfacing in the game prompting necessary hot fixes. Some players believe Blizzard is testing these patches before they go live, however, some exploits have already turned out to be unintended. For many, the frequency of stumbling across such problems seem to increase after each major update including this latest one.RELATED:Overwatch 2 Starwatch AI Behavior Worries Fans About Upcoming PvE ContentOverwatch 2player and Twitch streamer who goes by Kristen Rae discovered this new bug with D.Va, which apparently makes her primary weapon fire rate faster than intended. They explained how the bug occurs, saying that assigning the primary weapon to the scroll wheel increases the fire rate considerably. Kristen Rae also uploaded a gameplay video for better understanding, in which Fusion Cannons seemed normal when not attached to the scroll.

Reactions to this glitch are mixed, with some claiming that the latestOverwatch 2update is the most buggy patch to date. Some players think it’s a visual glitch that can’t be considered game-breaking. One Twitter user also said the bug occurs due to inconsistent amounts of bullets “sounded/visualized” per burst, which is also happening with Baptiste. In consequence, unlikethis recently discoveredOverwatch 2map bug, it seems like more of an oversight.

D.Va fans might not like this glitch if it requires Blizzard to remove her from ranked play. She is one of thereliable tank heroes inOverwatch 2, with her powerful mech toting a pair of Fusion Cannons to pulverize enemies at short ranges with an automatic mid-range Light Gun while outside of her mech, making herself one of the versatile heroes in the game. She can also utilize her Boosters ability to barrel through her enemies while absorbing attacks for her team with Defense Matrix.

Overwatch 2players will be disappointed if Blizzard decides to disable D.Va in order to resolve the issue. Despite the game’s massive number of heroes, they may have trouble finding a tank as powerful as D.Va, though there remains the possibility that Blizzard will be able to fix this glitch without having to remove the hero.

Overwatch 2is now available to play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
