FromSoftware has released various updates forElden Ringsince its launch in February. The massive patch 1.03 implemented several balance-related changes to the game, and it also made questing more convenient by adding vendor and character markers to the map. It evenadded a new NPC toElden Ring, along with more steps to the quests of existing ones.

Update 1.03 also made adjustments to some of the enemies, most notably Starscourge Radahn. The boss fight against Radahn has a gimmick, as he is balanced around summoning NPCs. Starscourge Radahn was generally considered to be one of the most challenging bosses in the middle portion ofElden Ring, but many players found him to be nerfed after this update. Players discovered that he did less damage than before and was more likely to target the NPCs in the area. Disappointed by these changes, someElden Ringfans wanted FromSoftware to reverse them, and it looks like their wish has been granted.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has detailed a new update forElden Ringthat fixes a bug that resulted in Radahn’s attacks dealing less damage. This bug was introduced in patch 1.03, so players were correct in feeling that he was nerfed. The update only makes this one specific adjustment, and the patch notes do not list any other changes. It looks likeRadahn was unintentionally nerfed, and players can now challenge him without facing the watered-down version. Patch 1.03 added more bugs toElden Ringthat were subsequently fixed in a later update.

Most of the community is probably pleased to hear this news, but Radahn is not an easy fight by any means, especially for newcomers to this genre. It’s not required to defeat Starscourge Radahn to finishElden Ring, but he does act as a massive roadblock to hours of optional content. Players can onlygain access to some underground areas after defeating Radahn, and it’s recommended to go through these regions to experience everythingElden Ringoffers. Players will find several valuable items in these levels, along with some equally terrifying enemy encounters.

Elden Ringprobably needs more balance changes, as some players continue to complain about some late-game bosses. It’ll be interesting to see how FromSoftware approaches this issue in the future, with patch 1.04 most likely being the next major update. SomeElden Ringplayers are using glitches to flyon horseback, so FromSoftware will probably also address bugs that allow users to skip levels in the next update.
