Should You Encourage Drax to Throw Rocket in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy?
Encouraging Drax to throwRocket inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxydoesn’t really affect much. If he does get thrown, players will be shown a “Rocket is furious” message, and he will act accordingly in the following scene. Additionally, he will refuse to be thrown in a future section of Chapter 3, closing off that option to players.
The most significant consequence ofencouraging Drax to throw Rocket is an additional mention of the incident during the game’s epilogue. Except for a few dialogue exchange differences, there are no other significant consequences to thischoice inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

If players decide to stop Rocket being thrown byDrax inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, they will have to find an alternative way around the gap by exploring the area. A later section of Chapter 3 will give Drax another opportunity to throw Rocket. Players can stop him again and find another way around, or change their minds and encourage Drax this time. This leads to a slightly different scene and dialogue between the team.
Unlike when Drax throws Rocket, there is no mention of the decision during the epilogue if players stop Drax. Whatever option players choose, there will be a callback to the incident during a later chapter. It will play out the same no matter what choice was made in Chapter 3, making it one of the less impactful decisions players can make.
Unlike the decision whether to sell Groot or Rocket toLady Hellbender inMarvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, there aren’t a lot of changes in future gameplay as a result of the decision to encourage Drax or not in Chapter 3. However, even the small alterations and differences to team banter can change the feel of the game, and help to build a more childish or caring version of Peter Quill during a playthrough.
