InLorelei and the Laser Eyes, you will need to solve a bunch of different kinds of puzzles. While a lot of these puzzles are mathematical in nature, there are several other kinds of puzzles that need to be solved to progress.
One of the weird little puzzles in thisSteam gameis the Grand Piano puzzle, one that appears to be music related. Here’s how to solve it and get the Reddest Rose to give to the Magician.
Grand Piano Puzzle Location
The Grand Piano is located on thefirst floor. To get there, ride theelevator to the second floor, then take the stairs back down to the first floor. There is also ashortcut inLorelei and the Laser Eyesthat can get you there. At the piano, you can interact with it immediately and complete this puzzle to get the reddest rose.
The Correct Order of Piano Keys to Play
While many of the puzzles inLorelei and the Laser Eyesare randomized, like the poster puzzles, this does not seem to be one of them. To solve this one, you need tocount the number of notes in each of the sections, and play the key that is painted with that number.
The first section contains two notes, so hit the key painting with the “2” from 2014. The second contains zero notes, so press the zero from 2014. The complete solution to the puzzle depicted in the image above is2-0-4-0-2-0-2-2-0-2-3-6-9.
After you complete the puzzle correctly, a cutscene will play, showing your character playing the song on the piano aboutLorelei and the Laser Eyes, and your host will appear. He will clap, praise your performance, and then give you the reddest rose.
What to Do With the Reddest Rose
If you put your coat back on and head back outside, past thefront gate and gatehouse puzzles, you can find two different unlockable areas outside the house. There is the crypt or graveyard area to the east, and there is a caravan to the west. If you head over to the caravan, you can unlock it with the ticket you got from the Fortune Teller’s Tent in the backyard. Give the ticket, and the Magician will unlock the door and ask for the rose.
