Now, the developer WB Games has teamed up with the publisher to officially declare the launch ofLEGO DCSuper-Villainswill be coming on Jul 31, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
As seen below in the reveal trailer forLEGO DC Super-Villains, the game will give players the chance to play as various DC Comics antagonists throughout a story that’s “set in an expansive, open world experience within the DC Universe.” According to the title’s description, “the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to their counterparts from a parallel universe, who have proclaimed themselves as the ‘Justice Syndicate’.”
Those who have kept up with the comics will likely noticeLEGO DC Super-Villains' plot as being reminiscent of the storyline from writerGeoff Johnsand artist David Finch’s “Forever Evil” run. During the miniseries, the aforementioned Justice Syndicate shows from an alternate realm as an evil version of the Justice League, which forces the Lex Luthor-led Injustice League into action to face the extradimensional baddies.
As seen in the trailer, it looks as ifLEGO DC Super-Villainswill let fans play as a wide range of DC Comics' most iconic baddies, with the likes ofThe Joker, Harley Quinn, Reverse-Flash, Poison Ivy, and Lex Luthor being represented in the game’s reveal. WB Games and TT Games also state that “Deathstroke, Killer Frost, Sinestro, and countless others from the Injustice League” will make appearances in the forthcoming title.
