For fans ofDBZ, the single-player experience ofDragon Ball Z: Kakarotis second to none. It does have its shortcomings, but the general consensus is that Bandai Namco Entertainment lived up to its word to provide fans will the most accurate telling of the Z saga to date. Now that the game has been out for a few months, though, many are looking forward to the upcomingDragon Ball Z: KakarotDLC.

Most of what is known actually comes from V Jump Magazine scans via reporter Dragon Ball Hype and those close to the development of the game. The game will feature training with Whis, a boss battle against Beerus, the appearance ofOracle Fish, and a new card game mode, but again, most of that was made available first hand from magazine scans. The latest details are no different, in that fans can see two major details about Goku, Vegeta, and Beerus in them.

First, it’s unclear what Whis training will entail specifically (outside battles against the angel himself), but it seems that fans will be able to participate in Goku vs. Vegeta battles again. This would add some variety to the training and make the most of who is available to fight on Beerus' planet, and it would be interesting if it were SSG Goku vs. SSG Vegeta eventually as well. Secondly, it shows that fans can use bothSSG Gokuand SSG Vegeta against Beerus, not just 1v1 battles.

Given that theBeerus boss battle is incredibly tough, even for characters at the max 250 level, it makes sense to bring SSG Vegeta (or vice versa) along for the ride. Devs reportedly could only beat Beerus 1 in a series of 10DBZ: Kakarotfights, for example.

The messaging and delivery on that DLC has been less than ideal, withDBZ: KakarotSuperDLC leaving fans hangingon a variety of details such as its release date, its exact content, and perhaps even more importantly, what it actually was. “Original Story Episodes” that were promised were changed to “Boss Battle Episodes,” and while that’s just clarification for what is known, that still doesn’t really paint the full picture. Hopefully, more is revealed soon.
