The game mode, featuring ascending battles with increasingly stronger enemies, operates similarly toGenshin Impact’s Spiral Abyss with rotating challenges and special buffs. The game mode previously received a major update in Version 1.2, adding the “Memory of Xianzhou” section with six new battles. Now, the rotating “Memory of Chaos” challenge will be expanding withStar Rail’s next update.
A recent leak shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Star Rail Universe via fellow leaker hiro420 revealstwo new stages coming to Memory of Chaos. The update to the rotating challenges will add an eleventh and twelfth stage to the Memory of Chaos, providing even tougher challenges forStar Railplayers. The new stages will also come with newly available rewards, featuringan extra 120 Stellar Jadesfrom challenging Floors 11 and 12. The Memory of Chaos update is rumored to debut with Version 1.6, currently expected for a late December launch.
Version 1.6’s Forgotten Hall update is expected to come alongside another major addition to the Simulated Universe. Version 1.6 will debut what is tentatively called the “Nous Update” to the Simulated Universe, adding a brand-new challenge mode to the popular game mode. The patch will include an assortment of new Curios for players to try out,adding sixteen Curios toHonkai: Star Rail. The update is also heavily rumored to see players receiving a free four-star character, with Version 1.3 four-star Lynx reportedly available as a free reward.
Honkai: Star Rail’s newest update is set to welcome three new characters to the game alongside several rumored re-runs. Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio were previously confirmed by HoYoverse to be releasing as Version 1.6’s featured five-star characters, with the long-rumored Xueyi coming as a new four-star character. The update will reportedly see multiple popular characters receive re-runs as well, withBlade and Kafka expected to appear.
