Another exciting addition toHonkai: Star RailVersion 1.2 will be the new bosses. Revealed during the recent Special Program, players will encounter four powerful enemies in the form of The Ascended, Abundance Sprite: Malefic Ape, Yanqing, and Phantylia the Undying. The latter seemed to be the final boss in the Xianzhou storyline, described as a being that possessed the powers of both Destruction and Abundance. It was explained that she would have three phases, which utilize different types of lotuses that could apply debuffs and damage units.

Malefic Ape and The Ascended seemed to be mini-bosses that players could encounter in the new areas, the Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape. Meanwhile,Yanqing, who is a playable five-star character, could be a main boss, but not much was revealed on why players will fight him. Previously,Honkai: Star Railmade Bronya and Kafka boss enemies, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Yanqing in the Version 1.2 lineup.

Over 200,000 viewers tuned in toHonkai: Star Rail’s stream, and many of them seemed excited to grind Version 1.2’s missions and events, and of course, farm Stellar Jades for gacha pulls. They were also able to getfree Stellar Jades from the three livestream codes, which could be redeemed until July 9. Likewise, manyHonkai: Star Railplayers couldn’t seem to wait to explore the new locations and battle the new bosses. It will be interesting to see the team comps they’ll come up with to defeat them, especially with the addition of Kafka, Blade, and Luka.

Based on the “Even Immortality Ends” trailer,Honkai: Star Railmight be gearing up for another compelling story that would expand the universe further. Especially since it seems likethe godlike Aeons, perhaps Yaoshi the Abundance and Nanook the Destruction, might be playing a bigger role in Version 1.2. For now, players will have to wait until July 19 for the update to roll out.
