How To Set Up A Rally Race

The good news is that setting up a rally race is pretty straightforward. Every race, except for Stunt Races, can be turned into a rally race. To find a race, players can try one of two things. First, they can spot a race on the map and drive to it to activate a race. Alternatively, they could also go to the Jobs menu while the game is paused and select any of the races from there.

Once players begin to host a race, the menu will have a list of options with one of them being “Race Type.” It is here that players can select Rally Race. Keep in mind thatthis mode does require an even number of playersto properly work out. Other types of races include GTA (which features weapons) and Non-Combat (where cars can phase through each other), which may beworth trying first.

How Do Rally Races Work?

Rally races are a bit complicated, aseach car in the raceis essentially being run by two people. For each racer, there isa driver and a co-driver.The driver is in charge of navigating through the race, but will not have any checkpoints in front of them, meaning they will have no idea if they are staying on the course. That’s where the co-driver comes in, as they are able to see where the checkpoints are. The challenge is for the co-driver to properly communicate to the driver where they need to go at precisely the right time. Players can do this verbally through online voice chat or through a third-party application.

Those who rather not partake in verbally telling their driver what to do have the option ofindicating whether a player needs to go left or right using the D-Pad or the directional keys on the keyboard. This is likely going to be a harder way of getting the job done, but it is a nice option for those without a means to talk or who prefer not to.
