A new leak fromGenshin Impacthas revealed the Ascension and Talent materials players will need to farm in order to level up Furina, following her release. Fontaine’s initial cast of characters from the opening act of the game’s story has seen plenty of excitement from many fans of the RPG. Alongside already released characters like Lyney, Lynette, andthe newly released Neuvillette, HoYoverse teased several more upcoming additions including Navia, Charlotte, and Clorinde among others. Now, players are getting the chance to pre-farm for one of Fontaine’s most anticipated characters.
Earlier this week, HoYoverse officially revealed the two newest characters coming toGenshin Impactwith November’s Version 4.2 update. The developer confirmed the highly-anticipated release of Hydro Archon Furina alongside a familiar new four-star character in Charlotte. Leaks of Furina’s kit have not only teased her to be a powerful addition to teams with unique mechanics built around sapping allies' HP, but also a versatile unit able to utilize both halves of Fontaine’s Arkhe system. Now, new leaks are getting players prepared for the Archon’s impending launch.

A recent visual shared by prominentGenshin Impactleaker Blednaya has revealedFurina’s Ascension and Talent materialsahead of her release. Furina will utilize the Hydro “Varunada Lazurite” gemstones for her Ascension, requiring Whopperflower Nectar as her main Monster material. Furina’s main Talent Material will be the Justice books, previously used by Freminet. Furina will also require multiple new materials to fully level her including a new local specialty, materials from a new world boss, and Talent materials fromGenshin Impact’s newest weekly boss.
While many of Furina’s Ascension materials will be unavailable for farming until her release in Version 4.2,Genshin Impactdoes provide plenty of farming opportunities for her other needs. Whopperflowers are one ofGenshin Impact’s most common enemy types, appearing in each of the game’s regions except Fontaine. Much like other Talent materials, Furina’s Talent material can also be farmed three days a week through Fontaine’s “Pale Forgotten Glory” Domain. Furina is expected to launch during the first half of Version 4.2, currently believed to be releasing on November 8.
Furina’s debut in Version 4.2 will be joined by the release of the first playable character from Fontaine to be revealed in-game.Steambird reporter Charlotte was first revealedpreceding the launch of Fontaine in Version 3.7, reporting on Mondstadt’s “King of Invokations Grand Prix” event. Charlotte has also regularly appeared throughout Fontaine’s Archon Quests, looking for new stories for the Steambird throughout the Traveler’s adventures. Between Furina and Charlotte’s debuts,Genshin Impact’s Version 4.2 update looks to see significant success with its limited gacha banners.
