When it comes toFortnite, it would seem the only constant is change. The popular battle royale title is constantly changing things up, big and small, to keep the gameplay fresh. This especially rings true today with the addition of an all-new weapon to the island, the Anvil Rocket Launcher.

The Anvil Rocket Launcher is being added as part ofFortnite’s v20.00 hotfix update. The patch adds several new pieces of content to the game, including another pair of weapons for players to choose to bring to the island via Gold Bar funding: the MK-Seven Assault Rifle or Combat Assault Rifle. However, the Anvil Rocket Launcher is available immediately; players just need to know where to find one.

Where to Find Anvil Rocket Launcher inFortnite

Fortnite’s ongoing story has the sinister Imagined Order, or IO, in an all-out battle for island territory against The Foundation’s Resistance. As the conflict escalates, so too does this season’s weaponry. The new Anvil Rocket Launcher is designed to be an anti-vehicle weapon, equipped with a homing ability. Players can look down the scope, lock onto a vehicle, and fire to deal a devastating amount of damage, anywhere from 600 to 660. As far as locations, the Anvil Rocket Launcher can be found in regular and rare chests, Seven Supply and IO chests, Supply Drops, and from defeating sharks.

Given that regular and rare chests can spawn just about everywhere on the map, the best bet to getting one ofFortnite’s Anvil Rocket Launchers early is to try for one of the Seven or IO supply chests. The bulk of supply chests can currently be found in and around the Command Cavern POI, though heavily patrolled by IO forces. Another prime location for supply chests isany of the massive IO airshipsstationed across the island, which usually contain only a couple of enemy AI.

Beyond the addition of the Anvil Rocket Launcher, the new update also confirms the rumors thatFortnite’s no build mode would be permanent. There is now a dedicated mode called Zero Build Mode, which maintains the game’s meta prior to the new update. Zero Build Mode will have Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads like “regular"Fortnite, which should satisfy all fans whether they love or hate the building aspect of the game.

Anvil Rocket Launchers are bound to be the most sought-after weapon in the game for a good while, so competition to get one (and get out alive) may be stiff. If players can’t find the new weapon, they can always try snaggingthe new Armored Battle Bus, which features a Heavy Turret with similar anti-vehicle effectiveness.
