Now,Final Fantasy 14is bringing back the Hairstyle Design Contest in 2023. From now until August 21, players can design theoretical hairstyles they would love to see added to the game. As long as they have an active subscription, they can enter artwork of the hairstyle or submit pictures of a wig or actual hair they styled to qualify. Each participant can enter three different designs byfollowingFinal Fantasy 14’s templateguides, and the top 30 contestants will receive an adorable Fat Cat Earring in-game cosmetic as a prize.
Some of the designs entered into theFinal Fantasy 14Hairstyle Design Contest might eventually make their way into the game. Square Enix cannot guarantee they will be added, but it reserves the right to add excellent designs from both winners and runner-ups in future updates. Over the eight years since the last contest, nearly all the winninghairstyles have been added toFinal Fantasy 14, so there’s a good chance many of the winning designs from the 2023 contest will make it in eventually.
