Tactics and Instructions
A balanced defensive style and balanced build-up play generally work best for Juventus. Due to the strength of their midfielders, they’re also well-suited for possession-based chance creation. However, given the pace of Chiesa down the left and Cuadrado down the right, creating chances with forward runs is a solid option providing players are able to time their forward passes and through balls correctly.
As the pair are right and left-footed respectively, having Chiesa and Di Maria cut inside is a bit of a no-brainer. While they’re at it, players should also have Chiesa come back to help out Sandro and get in behind while making support runs. Pogba should be instructed to get forward during attacks and Kostic to drift out wide, which should help to create some additional space for Chiesa to exploit. Finally, players should set have both full-backs join the attack and overlap the wide players whenever they do.
