Bandai Namco Entertainment is looking to bringDigimonback to the world of tabletop card games, launching theDigimon Card Gamein English territories on July 29, 2025. The new Digimon Card game is making a big effort to compete with the other popular trading card games on the market, with new rules, new cards to collect, and plenty more for fans of the franchise to look forward to.
The Digimon Card Game is starting off with three starter decks on Jul 27, 2025. TheDigimon Card Game Starter Decksare all themed after characters from the firstDigimonanime series, as well as a color associated with their partner Digimon. There is the Cocytus Blue Starter Deck based on Matt and MetalGarurumon, the Gaia Red Starter Deck based on Tai and WarGreymon, and finally, the Heaven’s Yellow Starter Deck based on TK and Angemon.

Each Digimon Card Game Starter Deck comes with 54 cards, two memory gauges, and one booster pack. Digimon Card Game fans will have the opportunity to purchase other booster packs beginning January 29 as well. Players can use the booster packs to further customize their Digimon Card Game Starter Decks. Another booster pack will be released on July 30, 2025, and will add a slew of additional cards for fans of the franchise to collect.
For those wondering what to expect from each of the Digimon Card Game Starter Decks, here are all the cards that come in each one. Note that there will be duplicates of some of the cards listed in order for each deck to hit 54 cards.

Cocytus Blue Starter Deck Card List
The Cocytus Blue Starter Deck in the Digimon Card game is themed after Matt and his Digimon, MetalGarurumon. The deck also featuresJoe’s Digimon Gomamonand his digivolved forms as well.
Gaia Red Starter Deck Card List
The Digimon Card Game Gaia Red Starter Deck stars Tai, with a focus onWarGreymonand Sora’s Biyomon.
Heaven’s Yellow Starter Deck Card List
The Heaven’s Yellow Starter Deck featuresTK and Angemon, as well as Kairi’s Digimon Gatomon.
Future Starter Decks
The first three Starter Decks represent most of the Digidestined from the originalDigimonanime series, with the exception of two. As it stands,Izzy and Mimiare nowhere to be seen, and so one has to imagine that a future Starter Deck will feature one of them on the cover, and both of their Digimon in the available cards. That meansDigimonfans likely have to wait a bit before they can get Starter Decks featuring Tentomon and his forms as well as Palmon and her forms.
