Diablo 2: Resurrectedis quickly approaching its release date. With now less than a month to go until the extremely highly-anticipated title’s release, a pair of trailers is being released highlighting two of the most popular classes: the Barbarian and the Sorceress.
Blizzard Entertainment’s long-awaited remaster of its iconic 21-year-old RPG PC game is finally set to release in just a few weeks' time. WhileDiablo 2: Resurrected’s development process has reportedly been with minimal crunch, the originalDiablo 2was a much different story. The original’s developmental crunch was so severe that it spanned a year and a half,where employees were given sleeping bags.

The firstDiablo 2: Resurrectedcharacter class trailer released was none other than the fan-favorite Barbarian. The roughly 30-second long clip shows off the Barbarian in all their tanking, dual-wielding,vaguely-Batista-looking glory. Interspersed with the message “Unleash your fury,” the footage shows the melee-focused class utilizing a variety of skills and abilities, including what appear to be Battlecries, Leap Attacks, and Whirlwinds. The Barbarian’s trailer also shows the class’s ability to function as a tank-like class, taking on what looks like dozens of demons in the middle of a flaming pentagram. While there are plenty of ways to customize Barbarians, most players use them to lead the charge into battle.
The otherDiablo 2: Resurrectedcharacter class trailer released is for the Sorceress. One of the five original classes fromDiablo 2, the Sorceress specializes in elemental magic, which is on full display in the video footage. An inverse of the Barbarian class in a lot of ways, the Sorceress is weak in melee combat, but can deal devastating ranged and area-of-effect damage with their large mana pool. The trailer displays these skills well, showcasing a variety of Cold, Lightning, and Fire spells throughout, all in dazzling HD. Including both a Barbarian and Sorceress class in a party could make for a dynamic and deadly group.
While theDiablo 2: Resurrectedclass trailers will surely do their part in building up hype for the full launch of the game, some fans have already been diving in. Over the course of the past several weeks, fans who pre-ordered the game were given an early access beta version of the game. Although reception of the beta has been largely positive, fans on certain platforms have already taken issue with the game’s lobbies. Console players are discoveringResurrecteddoes not include the optionto create or join custom lobbies, a huge feature for the PC version of the game allowing players to seek out certain opportunities and objectives.
Diablofans are hitting a fever pitch in anticipation for the remaster’s impending release.
