We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available toDestinyplayers for the weekend of February 19th.
Xur has once again returned toDestinyfor the weekend and brought along with him a handful of exotic armor pieces and potentially some weapons. Granted, there are only a few items left on theDestinyveteran’s checklist, but there’s always the hope that this week might be the week. First things first, though; we have to find Xur.
This week, players can find Xurin the northern part of the Tower, right across from the Speaker. This week’s spot is actually rightnext to last week’s, and shouldn’t take players very long to reach. After spawning into the Tower turn to the left, follow the pathway down a set of halls and stairs, enter into the wide open space, and Xur should be on the right hand side. Just look for the big giant door-looking thing.
As far as armor is concerned, we’re sorry to report that Xur has neither the Tarantella chest piece for Hunters nor the Twilight Garrison chest piece for Titans available. Those who were holding out hope that this week would be the week will just have to wait a bit longer…we hope.
What Xur does have for sale, however, is The Taikonaut helmet for Titans, the Skyburners Annex helmet for Hunters, and the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets for Warlocks. While the Hunter and Warlock pieces are decent in certain circumstances, they are hardly worth sacrificing an exotic spot for. The Taikonaut, on the other hand, is useful for those PvP players who like to juke their opponents by hovering in the air, or for when the ‘Airborne’ modifier is active in theNightfall Strike. Again, we’d probably recommend a different exotic for both PvE and PvP regular use, but the Taikonaut isn’t a terrible choice.
He also has an exotic helmet engram for sale, which means no exotic weapon this week. Those hoping to get a 310 helmet, though, have a chance to get one with the engram. Or, you can take things a step further and try and get a 320 helmet by completing theOryx Challenge, which is this week’s challenge mode in King’s Fall.

Once again, players are faced with significant disappointment from Xur, as he refuses to sell those two chest pieces. Hopefully next week he has at least one of them for sale, maybe even both. Or perhaps he could come back with an exotic chest piece engram, which is arguably even better.
