This week inDestiny 2, bugs and exploits seemed to be on the rise for many players. One in particular allowed players tocontinually load in to the Prophecy Treasure roomthanks to a checkpoint that saved after the final boss was killed. Naturally, Bungie moved very fast to fix it by disabling the checkpoint which in turn would prevent players from continually loading in and obtaining the loot on an endless cycle.
Starting next week, Lord Saladin returns to the Tower for the first time in the current season. In addition to six reissued weapons with Season of Arrivals infusion caps, the event also comes with two reprised weapons called The Forward Path and The Fool’s Remedy. What this means is that these weapons will have two additionalperks specific to these Iron Banner weapons: Iron Grip and Iron Gaze.

Until then, players can visit the exotic salesman known as Xur who is once again available inside ofDestiny 2for the next few days. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of July 19, 2025.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players will want to head to the Winding Cove in the European Dead Zone.
Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor
What’s exciting about this weekend with Xur is that the merchant isno longer selling collection rolled gear, essentially, items that could be pulled from a player’s collection. The armor he now has features randomized stats and perks, which should revitalize player interest in what Xur has each week.
In addition, players can use an Exotic Cypher to purchase a second fated engram from the merchant.

Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:
Phoenix Protocol - Warlock chest armor
A former top tier exotic item, the Phoenix Protocol is back on sale this weekend for Dawnblade Warlocks. Battle-Hearth give Dawnblade Warlocks a return on super energy for any kills or assists they make while standing inside of the Well of Radiance.
Thankfully, the roll Xur has this week on this exotic is quite good. The stat line is fairly balanced with bonus points put into Recovery and Intellect. As such, it’s a solid purchase this week.
Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:
Young Ahamkara’s Spine - Hunter gauntlets
Another rare exotic that hasn’t been seen in quite a while is the Young Ahamkara’s Spine gauntlets for Hunter players. A neutral class exotic, it really only benefits players who enjoy using tripmine grenades. It comes with an exotic perk called Wish-Dragon Teeth, whichincreases tripmine grenade duration and blast radius. Better yet, any damage done with the ability returns bonus tripmine grenade energy.
While useful, the exotic gear isn’t valued as highly as some other Hunter gear. It’s hard to recommend this week but under the right circumstances, these gauntlets can really come in handy.
Synthoceps - Titan gauntlets
Once again in stock after a one week hiatus is the Synthoceps. While this would normally be somewhat of a disappointment, at the very least, the stat rolls are much different than they were two weeks ago. Biotic Enhancements, the item’s intrinsic perk, not only buffs the melee range, but when the player is surrounded by enemies, it also buffs damage. Similar to theHunter’s exotic gauntlets Liar’s Handshake, this item can make Titan players very powerful.
Not much has changed about them in two weeks. While these are a popular Titan exotic, buying this specific item is entirely up to the user and whether or not the stats on this is better than what they may already have. Thankfully, the stat rolls are pretty good on this item so it may be worth spending the shards on to get a better version of the exotic. .
Exotic Weapon
Back on sale is The Colony heavy grenade launcher. Insectoid Robot Grenades is its intrinsic perk which causes the weapon to fire grenades that are actually spider robots. Once fired, these devices chase enemy targets (even up/around walls) and explode at close range. As if that isn’t enough, when holstered, the gun refills its magazine as well.
For now, this weapon remains a top pick for PvP players thanks to its homing rounds. Even withswords being the popular pickfor the heavy slot these days, The Colony remains an easy recommendation for those who don’t yet have it. Being able to track targets in the Crucible is incredibly valuable and the weapon also helps complete many of the grenade launcher related quests as well like the Wendigo or Mountaintop.
