Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion added titles to the game, special text that is visible next to a player’s name in-game. These are tied to players completing a certain number of Triumphs, making titles a sign of completion and mastery over specific parts ofDestiny 2. Some of the titles are not yet available, but one title that is starting to be unlocked by players is Dredgen.

The Dredgen title is tied to the Gambit Seal found in the Triumphs tab inDestiny 2. It requires players to achieve a number of accomplishments inthe new PvE/PvP hybrid mode. Until just recently, it was actually impossible for players to complete it due to one particular secret Triumph tied to the Malfeasance exotic.

Getting the Dredgen title is quite the grind. To see what’s required, players can navigate to the Triumphs tab, go down to Seals and enter the Gambit seal. There are 11 requirements. It starts with earning the Playing for Keeps badge, which is unlocked by collecting every piece of armor, weapon, emblem, shader, Ghost shell, Sparrow, and ship that drops from the Gambit playlist. Then it goes onto completing certain objectives including defeating high-value targets in Gambit, defeating invaders while their Super is active, winning a Gambit match with a Gambit weapon equipped in every slot, and more.

These are self-explanatory, but there are also two secret Triumphs. One is toearn the Malfeasance exotic hand cannonthrough an exotic quest that did not appear until last week. The second secret Triumph is called Protect the Runner, which requires one player to deposit 100 Motes during a match without losing any, and winning the match. This is one players will definitely need to do within a fireteam.

Once all those Triumphs are unlocked, players can activate the Gambit Seal, and equip the Dredgen title. The text, Dredgen, appears on their own character inspection screen and it also appears to other players above their head under their gamertag.

Dredgen is tied to Dredgen Yor, a legendary figure inDestiny’s lore whose story dates back tothe Grimoire ofDestiny 1. Within the lore ofDestiny 2, there is a connection between Dredgen Yor and Gambit’s vendor and host character, the Drifter that players can read about in the Lore tab.
