Whenever a new destination is added as part of an expansion forDestiny 2, there are some staples that players can expect to see. Aside from new public events and post-campaign content, there are always lost sectors to discover. For the first time since the Red War campaign back in 2017,lost sectorsare part of the campaign once again, albeit briefly.
At one point during the story, you will need to investigate all three Lost Sectors before you can continue on through the campaign. If you are looking for these locations, here is where they can be found.
Minor spoilers ahead, proceed with caution.
The Broken Deep
The Broken Deep is located in the Impasse, and it is the first lost sector that you will enter as part of The Message, Part I. The entrance to this lost sector can be found by jumping up to the ledge above where the Lost Sector symbol is and following that path to the entrance.
Inside the lost sector, you will encounter both Taken and thenew Dread enemies. There is a lot of platforming that you will have to do throughout the Broken Deep, but it isn’t particularly difficult if you are mindful of where and when you jump. Watch out for the taken rifts as they will push you if you stay in front of them for too long. While fighting the boss at the end, it will periodically get a shield. Destroy the splinters in the air to bring the shield down and continue doing damage.
You will be able to access the lost sectors once you’ve fully unlocked the Pale Heart destination, which is done by beating the campaign and completing Queens, Part I.
The Forgotten Deep
The second lost sector, The Forgotten Deep, is in the Landing. The symbol is on a large wooden barrier. Go around the barrier and jump up to find a cave entrance that will take you into the lost sector. The Forgotten Deep contains Lucent Hive.
to progress through the Forgotten Deep, you will have to walk through green rifts that appear to gain charges of Light Shield Breaker. Once you’ve gained all three, the shield on the crystal will disappear, allowing you to destroy it and bring down the barrier that blocks your path. This same mechanic will be used on the boss at the end as well.
The Blooming Deep
The finallost sectoris called The Blooming Deep, and it is in a cave on the south edge of the Blooming. When you see the symbol, jump up to the ledge where vines are growing down. Primarily, you willfight Takenwith a few Dread mixed in.
The unique feature of this lost sector is the unlikely ally who will show up. Beyond that, there isn’t anything noteworthy in this lost sector, but keep an eye out for the Taken Phalanx which is positioned in a way where it can easily push you off the edge if you time your jump poorly.
