While players are effectively tasked with becoming a god of endless death in Arkane Studios’Deathloop, they’ll see themselves die plenty of times. Death is unavoidable and can often be hilarious, especially when thegame’s online player versus playermode brings a healthy dose of chaos into the mix.
For every creative way the player kills an enemy, one optional challenge wants them to die in an equally creative way. Appropriately namedThe Spice Of Life,this trophy / achievement has a list of deaths for players to explore. It’s a surprisingly fun and challenging one to unlock, and a nice break from living the same day over and over - the bad guys will probably appreciate a few days of peace in their otherwise incredibly violent time loop.
How To Unlock The Spice Of Life Achievement
Like many ofDeathloop’s other achievements,The Spice Of Lifeforces players to complete multiple loops. Colt can die up to three times in each level, however, so strategic players can strike a few specific deaths off their list per loop. The table below lists the ten ways players must die with some recommended strategies, but it should be noted that most deaths can be achieved in multiple locations.
Choke on poison gas

Break into Hangar 2 and jump into the gas within. Be careful not to die of fall damage.
Fatal Depressurization

Get spotted by a camera in Wenjie’s lab and stay in the round room.
Blown Up
The Complex / Evening
Set off a tripwire, mine, or grenade and stay close to the blast.
Alert and stand neara gun-wielding enemyfor a while.
Alert and stand near a machete-wielding enemy for a while.
Ground Up
Updaam / Evening
Open Aleksis' meat grinder- or wait for it to open - in the room with a stage and jump inside.
Fried
Updaam / Noon
Power up the rocket in Condition Detachment and stand nearby when it goes off.
Obliterated
Fristad Rock / Noon
Enter Fia’s bunker and alert the enemies. Stay inside until it explodes.
