As abeloved survival horror game from a previous generation,Dead Spacemade an impact on the genre when it dropped nearly a decade and a half ago. At the time, horror was in something of a rut, with 2009’sResident Evil 5leaning heavily into action, whileSilent Hillwas unable to keep the magic going after the enormous mark left behind by the series' first three games. However, now it looks as though the genre is thriving, not only with new games coming out from the AAA and indie scenes, but from the anticipation of all these remakes.
