Just last year, Remedy Entertainment releasedControl, offering players exciting combat, fleshed-out characters, anda deeply immersive and engaging story. The game’s Ultimate Edition comes with The Foundation expansion alongside AWE, which is the latest DLC released for the game that featuresa crossover betweenControlandAlan Wake. Additionally, the Ultimate Edition also includes all the extra content that was later added to the game such as the Expeditions Game Mode and Photo Mode. Of course, those who are looking into playingControlshould consider the Ultimate Edition given that it is the version that provides the complete experience of the game.
Meanwhile, players on consoles who will purchaseControlUltimate Edition will also be gettinga free next-gen upgrade. This means that those who own the Ultimate Edition on either the PS4 or Xbox One will also be able to access the game once it is made available on the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X. Although this is good news for console players who still haven’t purchased the game, those who already own it were understandably upset, though they will still be able to play the game via backward compatibility, but without the bonuses of the Ultimate Edition. Of course, this doesn’t affect PC players in any way given that they will always have access to the game no matter which version of it they own.
As of the moment, it is still unclear whetherControlwill be getting a sequel anytime soon, butRemedy Entertainment is more than open to the idea. A couple of months ago, a job listing sparked rumors about the possibility of aControlsequel. The listing is for a Senior Producer that will be given a key role in theControlfranchise. Although it is not unlikely that the position is referring toControl 2,it could also be for the DLCs that are already released and the upcoming port of the game to next-generation consoles.
Controlis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One and will release in the future for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
