Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayers have been desperate for more content, and it certainly seems like relief is in sight with the launch of Season 1. Not only isModern Warfare’s popular Gunfight mode on the way butCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warwill be bringing back a beloved map fromBlack Ops 2as well.

Theaddition of Gunfight was teasedalongside the official announcement of Season 1, and players now know that the 2v2 mode will be coming back with a bang inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Not only will the mode be arriving as part of “the biggest Season One launch week ever seen” forCall of Duty, meaning players will not need to wait until later in the season to play it, but it will be bringing a large number of maps along with it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’sGunfight maps leaked recently, and while the map count seemed too good to be true, a Call of Duty Blog post has confirmed that there will be “four new maps” arriving alongside Gunfight. Though names for the maps have not been shared, a few locations reference the game’s campaign, such as one 2v2 map taking place on a game show set called “What Do The Numbers Mean?,” a playful nod to the originalCall of Duty: Black Ops.

While fans of Gunfight should be thrilled with the mode’s return and the many maps coming with it, 6v6 players will be getting a new map as well. The traditionalCall of Dutymodeswill see the return of Raid, the belovedCall of Duty: Black Ops 2map set in “the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles.” While dataminers had discovered the map prior to this announcement, players feared that it was just leftover code fromCall of Duty: Black Ops 4. Fans are now safe to be excited, however, as the map will be arriving soon.

The post mentioned some other additions coming to the game, such as free weapons and seasonal challenges. A new map for the Fireteam Dirty Bomb mode was promised as well, andforCall of DutyZombies fans, new modes were once again teased but not detailed. With more blog posts set to come as a lead-up to Season One, each piece of new content should be given more detail.

While the post provided plenty of good news forCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfans, one negative came with the post.Call of Duty: Warzoneintegration has been delayedalongside Season One, with the content now set to come on December 16 — forcing players to wait for just a bit longer.
