WhileBorderlands 3fans wait for more information on the game’s DLC 2, they can participate in the ongoing Broken Hearts Day event to tide them over. The event has been received well by theBorderlands 3community so far, but there are a couple of big issues that fans will want to keep in mind.
As noted by Forbes, theBorderlands 3Broken Hearts Day legendary weapons only drop once per character. This includes the popularBorderlands 3Wedding Invitation sniper rifle, which has proven to be one of the deadliest guns in the game by a significant margin. SomeBorderlands 3fans aren’t happy that they can’t keep grinding for the special Broken Hearts Day legendary weapons like they were able to do with the special Bloody Harvest guns, but on the bright side, the weapons all drop at level 53.

The newBorderlands 3level cap is 53, so the weapons will drop at the highest level, though players won’t be able to farm for Anointed versions. The new level cap, meanwhile, is the other issue that has been causing problems for someBorderlands 3players who are participating in theBroken Hearts Day eventfestivities.
With thenewBorderlands 3level capcomes higher-level enemies that are even tougher to kill than the ones encountered before. This means that the level 50 weapons and equipment that players have spent a ton of time grinding to get is far less useful than it was prior to the event. This means thatBorderlands 3players who want to use specific guns or equipment will need to farm for them all over again after they hit the new level cap.
Other players won’t be bothered by this at all, and will be happy that the game has a higher level cap. After all, this givesBorderlands 3players more progress to shoot for in the end-game, which should go a long way in making the upcomingBorderlands 3DLC 2a bit more interesting. It will also give players more skill points to spend so that they can make their character even more powerful, so maybe the trade-off will be worth it.
There are definitely some concerns that theBorderlands 3community has with the Broken Hearts Day event, but overall the event seems to be mostly well-received by fans. It will be interesting to see ifGearbox Softwareadjusts to the criticisms that this event has received for any future limited-time events that the game has to offer.
Borderlands 3is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
