Holst

Holst, Hilda’s older brother and heir to House Goneril, is a character heard about often inFire Emblem: Three Houses, but he never makes an appearance in the game.InFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, he rectifies this in style, joining during Chapter 5 and immediately making himself playable mid-level. Joining as a swordmaster, Holst is a lightning bruiser with excellent speed and incredible strength.

Holst wields the Personal Skill “Galvanic Surge,” allowing him to charge up energy and then enter a lightning-infused super mode thatboosts his speed and deals lightning damage when he attacks. This makes him tremendously effective at tearing through groups of enemies, especially when his support skill “Natural Warrior” boosts his damage to enemy stun gauges while his HP is low. When commanding him from elsewhere, his “True Champion” skill will boost his attack power when ordered to defend, reflecting his prowess at defending Fodlan’s Locket.

Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes_Hilda

Holst is extremely powerful early on, joining before the rest of the team gains access to advanced classes, but retains usefulness throughout the game as a powerful unit.Promoting him to Mortal Savant in the late game further enhances his natural skillsand grants him access to even more powerful techniques. Holst is one of three units that are completely exclusive to the Golden Wildfire route.

Hilda

Talented but lazy, Hilda is Holst’s little sister and one of Shez’s classmates at Garreg Mach. Despite claims of being a “delicate flower” Hilda is unbelievably strong and wields her ax with incredible power, acting as one of the Golden Deer’s heaviest hitters.

Hilda can use her Personal Skill “Lightning Bound” to charge up her heavy attacks, infusing them with lightning and drawing in all nearby foes for tons of damage, while her “Advocate” skill boosts the charge rate of the adjutant gauge and the damage of adjutant follow-ups if her adjutant is the opposite sex. This further improves her damage output and survivability via adjutant guards and follow-ups. Her “Delicate Flower” skill boosts herdamage to enemies when she is ordered to seize a target location, allowing her to continue smashing through enemy defenses even when not under the player’s direct control.

Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes_Claude

Hilda is available immediately after choosing the Golden Deer House and performs excellently as a Warrior and Wyvern Lord due to her excellent offensive and defensive stats. Her personal skill makes it easy to round up enemies to get them in position for her heavy attacks, and her Hero’s Relic “Freikugel” helps her dish out extra damage via the Apocalyptic Flame weapon art, while its Overwhelm skill (unlocked at the blacksmith) increases damage to enemy stun gauges, so she can dish out even more damage. Hilda’s Crest, the Minor Crest of Goneril, increases her chances of landing a critical hit when using combat arts.Hilda is another character who cannot be recruited outside the Golden Wildfire route.

Claude

Devious Schemer and Leader of the Golden Deer (and later the Leicester Alliance), Claude is a skilled archer and wyvern rider whose schemes form the backbone of the Leicester Alliance’s military strategy.

Claude’s Personal Skill “Dustcloud"causes all of his attacks to deal wind damage, allowing him to easily inflict the windtorn status effect. This status effect causes enemies to take heavy damage when sent flying while also creating wind blades to damage nearby foes. His “Leader’s Acumen” skill plays into this by increasing the awakening gauge fill rate whenever he attacks an enemy that has been launched into the air. His “Foresight” skill aids in defensive play by boosting his damage to enemies when ordered to defend, allowing him to hold the line while the player is not controlling him directly.

Claude beginsFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopesas a fighter equipped with a bow, but quickly gets swapped to his first unique class"Wyvern Master.” This gives him greater speed and a powerful fireball attack to complement his formidable ranged moveset. He excels as a Sniper later on before eventually unlocking his second unique class “Barbarossa,” an improved Wyvern Master with far more powerful abilities. With Failnaught, his Hero’s Relic, in hand to supply him with deadly long-range attacks via its hidden skill and the “Falling Star” combat art for AOE attacks, Claude can tear through enemies with ease, especially brawlers and flying units. His Minor Crest of Riegan allows him to sometimes recover HP when he lands a combat art. As the leader of the Leicester Alliance, he cannot be recruited outside the Golden Wildfire route.

Lysithia

The youngest of the Golden Deer and a tremendously accomplished mage, Lysithia is an exceptionally hard worker with a sweet tooth and a strong desire to improve herself. Bearing two crests due to an event in her past she doesn’t speak about, she wields magic with tremendous skill.

Lysithia’s personal skill “Cursed Expulsion"causes enemies she sends flying to explode and deal dark damage in an area.It alsoallows her to draw in foes afflicted with the spellbound status effect, dragging them directly in front of her to set up further attacks. Her “Unsought Power” skill restores some of the awakening and warrior gauges when activating crests, allowing her to refuel and set up her most powerful attacks, while “Virtuoso” boosts her damage to enemies when ordered to attack, allowing her to blow through enemy lines even while not under the player’s control.

Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes_Ignatz

Lysithia excels in any magic class, with her best class being Gremory. In this role, she excels in launching attacks of any element and unleashing the most powerful kinds of white, black, and dark magic. Due to bearing the Crest of Gloucester, which has a chance to boost damage dealt by offensive magic, and the Crest of Charon, which has a chance to boost the damage dealt by combat arts, she is able to wield several Hero’s Relics. Of these, Suttungr’s Mystery is exceptional, allowing her to cast Agnea’s Arrow and reducing her magic cooldown by 50% once its true power is unlocked at the blacksmith. She can also make good use of Thyrsus, which can sometimes nullify damage, increases her magic stat, and extends the range of her attacks with tomes.

Ignatz

Ignatz is a kind and optimistic student who becomes aknight of Gloucestera short way intoFire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. With a passion for the arts but also a strong desire to honor his father’s wishes and become a knight, Ignatz refuses to let things get him down and keeps pushing forward.

Ignatz personal skill “Dreamer’s Paintbrush” causes splatters of paint to coat the ground whenever he launches an enemy. These paint splatters deal elemental damage over timeto enemies that step on them, the type of damage is determined by the color. “Watchful Eye” boosts his critical rate with strong attacks, and “Heart’s Desire” reduces the damage he receives from enemies when seizing a location.

Fire Emblem Warriors - Three Hopes_Marianne

Ignatz is a stunning combatant that can easily take out foes in a wide range around him with his bow attacks, and he excels as an Archer, a Sniper, and eventually a Bow Knight.Bow Knight is particularly effective as it gives him many easy methods of launching foesto trigger Dreamer’s Paintbrush, especially via its class action. He doesn’t have a crest and thus can’t use Hero’s Relics without taking damage, but his incredible damage output and high mobility make him excellent in combat.

Marianne

With low self-esteem and a pessimistic outlook, Marianne has difficulty speaking with others as she fears her presence will bring misfortune. She is soft-spoken, polite, and loves animals, especially her horse Dorte. She bears a mysterious crest, and is deeply religious, praying to the Goddess frequently.

Marianne’s Personal Skill “Snowslip"causes falling ice orbs to appear around her at regular intervalsonce her hit count reaches 300 (or less once upgraded), dealing damage to foes. The frequency of the ice orbs spawning is determined by her current hit count. Her Support Skill “Animal Friend” heals nearby mounted allies at regular intervals, including Marianne herself if she is mounted. “Reverence” reduces the damage she takes when ordered to defend, allowing her to hold the line while not being controlled directly.

A skilled spellcaster, Marianne is anexcellent candidate forThree Hopes' Priest and Bishop classes, eventually becoming a Gremory later in the game. Her array of spells allows her to lock down rival spellcasters, heal allies, and even deal some serious damage, with her Snowslip skill helping to control the surrounding area. Her Minor Crest of the Beastadds a chance to increase the damage dealt by her strong attacks, and all of her classes have access to very good elemental strong attacks.
