Among the upgrades available for players to boost their character’s skills and subsequent chance of survival, there are a number of rings that can be worn with unique abilities attached to them. Unlike other equipable items inHalls Of Torment, players can wear two different rings at the same time. With a dozen options to choose from, each with its own benefits, these rings will give players the best chance of surviving the demonic hordes.

10Iron Ring

One of the starter rings thata player can equip to their character, the Iron Ring is a simple but useful addition to a player’s loadout. Boasting a moderate improvement in the potency of a character’s damage rating, this ring will put a little more power into each strike.

The Iron Ring provides players with a 10% increase in base attack damage, which will increase the number of hit points enemies lose when they are hit. When it comes to weaker opponents, this will mean more adversaries will be knocked out in a single swift blow.

9Copper Ring

The other default ring option available for new arrivals to theHalls Of Torment, the Copper Ring also has a hand in providing players with a damage boost. However, unlike the Iron Ring, this item focuses solely on critical damage and provides a significantly higher boost.

The Copper Ring will improve a character’s base critical damage rating by a staggering 40%. While critical hits are less frequent than regular offensive actions, this ring will be particularly effective with the Cunning Technique trait, which increases the likelihood of a critical strike.

8Echoing Band

The name Echoing Band is a suitable title for this ring, given the item’s capabilities on the battlefield. With this band around a character’s finger, players have the chance to deal additional damage in a whiplash-esque fashion.

Players using the Echoing Band have a 20% chance to deliver bonus damage that is equivalent to 40% of the original strike. This is a particularly useful ability to have as it will help to weaken stronger foes and completely eradicate weaker ones. The only downside to this is that players only have a one in five chance of a successful bonus.

7Pest Ring

Also known as the “Rat Ring,” the Pest Ring allows players to command a small rodent army to do their dastardly bidding. Using up to five rat minions to gnaw through the rotted flesh of hell’s servants, players will receive a well-needed source of temporary support as they struggle for survival.

Players who wear the Pest Ring will summon a rat every two seconds, which will attack any nearby enemies for a short period of time before disappearing. The rats will attack up to 10 adversaries, causing a variety of random debuffs to put attackers at a disadvantage. To make the best out of this ring’s abilities, players should try to increase the Channeling trait to prolong the rat’s duration of stay.

6Guiding Star

The Guiding Star ring is a unique item in that it hastwo perks that are interchangeable, so players will always have a boost regardless of their in-game circumstances. This item will behave differently according to whether the player is moving around the battlefield or not and will have an impact on both attack and movement speed.

The Guiding Star ring will increase a player’s attack speed by 40% when engaged in combat, but this is at the expense of a 30% drop in movement speed. In contrast, the character’s attack speed drops by 30% and is replaced by a 40% improvement in movement speed when they are on the run. It is an interesting combination of perks; however, players will need to weigh up the costs versus the benefits in determining if this is the right item for their character.

5Demonic Band

Taking anotherstep up in the henchmen department, the Demonic Band is another ring with the capability of summoning a supporting cast for the player’s quest for survival. With this ring, characters will be accompanied by imps capable of unleashing a flurry of attacks on any hostile bodies in their way.

The Demonic Band will summon an imp every five seconds to do the player’s bidding for a short period of time. Much like the Pest Ring, the effects of this item can be enhanced with the Channeling trait to help increase the number of imps simultaneously fighting alongside their master.

4Ring of Fire

While this is perhaps not what Johnny Cash had in mind when he recorded the song, the Ring of Fire inHalls Of Tormentis a valuable source of elemental damage. Regardless of the character being used, this item changes the damage type of any main weapon to fire, with the chance of inflicting burn damage on enemies.

While this ring isnot particularly useful for the Exterminator character, who already uses a flamethrower, this ring can greatly enhance the offensive capabilities of the less attacking-minded player options. With a 15% chance of burning enemies, this ring is guaranteed to turn up the heat in the underworld.

3Ring of Thunder

Bringing a different form of elemental damage to the table, the Ring of Thunder mimics the effects of the Ring of Fire butwith more shocking consequences. With this ring equipped, any character’s main weapon will be turned into a source of potent electrical damage.

This item can be made available for retrieval and purchase from the Well Keeper once the players have completed the challenge specific to the Sorceress character. Once they hit 1,000 enemies for a minimum of 500 damage in one run, this item can be added to the player’s arsenal.

2Necromancer’s Clutch

The final ring capable of summoning allies in theHalls Of Torment’s relentless underworld battle, the Necromancer’s Clutch has the ability to summon the bones of long-dead soldiers to fight alongside players. Like the other summoning rings, these powers are time-limited, butthe skeleton warriorsare the strongest of the unholy comrades.

The Necromancer’s Clutch will summon a skeleton to fight every 15 seconds, which again can be improved by upgrading the Channeling trait. Players are able to equip more than one ring, a perk exclusive to this item type, so the right combination could see players constantly accompanied by their own small army of aggressors.

1Seal of Rebirth

There are few experiences more painful in video games than perishing just before the finish line. This fact stings in particular inHalls Of Torment, as it takes an enormous 30-minute effort and a particularly nasty final boss to come out on top in each of the halls. With the Seal of Rebirth ring, players can avoid the gut-wrenching sadness that comes with failing to complete the objective.

The seal embedded in the Seal of Rebirth breaks when a player dies, bringing them back to life with 50% of their total health. This is by far the most desirable ring in the game as it offers a second chance to players, which can be the difference between winning and losing a run. To give players the best chance of winning, the effects in this ring can be stacked with the Revive blessing, meaning on any given run, players can have up to 4 chances to claim the victory.
