Summary
Tears of the Kingdommight have come after an agonizingly long wait, but most people argue that the time taken to develop this game was not wasted in the slightest. Not only doesTears of the Kingdomintegrate conceptsthat add new dynamics to the gameplay, but it also addresses some of the complaints that players had with the first title.
The Fuse mechanic is easily one of the best things in the game, even if some people felt like its implementation was slightly limited. Still, players can attach a wealth of items to their weapons to see what happens, and theMaster Swordisn’t exempt. Link’s iconic sword can become as powerful as ever once players attach these powerful items to it.

Updated July 03, 2025 by Ritwik Mitra:Tears of the Kingdom continues to blow minds to this day, with players loving the new powers and how they enhance the freedom to accomplish anything they set their minds to. Almost anything in Tears of the Kingdom can be attached to other objects using Ultrahand or fused to a weapon to enhance their damage. This is a mechanic that players must rely on at all times since most weapons are pretty weak by their lonesome and need a Fused material to ensure that they can dish out as much damage as possible.
As a result, most fans would like to know the best materials in this regard that enhance pure damage, add unique functions after being fused, or accomplish a myriad of functions to help Link out during his journey.

1Obsidian Frox Fang
The Toughest Version Of A Frox Yields A Material That Hits For Serious Damage
The Frox is a brand new enemy players can find languishing in the Depths. This enemy is relatively simple to defeat, but players should still be wary and know when to create some space if they’re too close. It launches Link in the air from time to time, letting players make the most of the mid-air slow-mo while unleashing arrows to deal a ton of damage in no time.
The Obsidian Frox is the toughest variant of this foe but one that’s well worth battling since players can get their hands on a valuable Obsidian Frox Fang that’s one of the most powerful fusible materials in the game. It enhances the raw damage of a weapon to ensure that a few hits are all it takes for most people to bite the dust.

2Stalnox Horn
Most players are quite familiar with a Stalnox, a skeletal version of a Hinox that is just as deadly as its living, breathing counterpart. The eye is a weak point just like a regular Hinox, but what makes this enemy unique is that its eye can just pop out randomly, letting Link wail on it as much as he can before this clueless foe clumsily pops its eye back into place for another round.
Beating the Stalnoxis a task that deserves a hefty reward of its own, and players get the same in the form of a Stalnox Horn that can substantially enhance the damage of a regular weapon. It may be a brittle item to fuse to a weapon, but the damaging nature more than makes it worth the extra hits that Link can dish out.

3Black Hinox Horn
The Strongest Hinox In The Game Drops A Powerful Horn That Augments A Weapon’s Attack
Numerous variants of a Hinox can be seen traipsing about in the open world, either deep in sleep or just roaming around aimlessly. Players can stealth around these foes and grab all the valuable weapons on their necks before either running away or duking it out with them. The latter is recommended for players to get some valuable fusible materials, especially when it comes to the strongest version of the Hinox.
The Black Hinox is no joke and should be taken seriously, even if most players will have high-end equipment by this point. This slow, lumbering foe can hit for serious damage with a single hit, and players must make it a point to target its eye until it’s defeated. The reward for beating this powerful foe is, among many things, a Black Hinox Horn that greatly increases the raw damage of a weapon it’s fused with.

4Ancient Blade
A Rare Material That Adds An Incredible Amount Of Damage
Players fondly remember the Ancient equipment and weapons from the first game, which helped players stand against the strongest enemies. The Ancient Arrows were especially noteworthy, letting players hurl enemies out of existence unless they were Ancient foes. While players missed this material inTears of the Kingdom, it isn’t completely absent.
Truth be told, Ancient Blades are best fused with arrows, retaining the properties of the Ancient Arrows from the first game for devastating results. However, fusing them to the Master Sword isn’t a bad idea either. Doing so lets the player enjoy a massive increase in damage that will obliterate most enemies with ease.

5Gibdo Bone
Fragile, But Perfect For A Quick Attack Boost
Gibdos are new enemies inTears of the Kingdomthat aren’t too tricky to deal with once players understand how to take them out. Most of these enemies drop a Gibdo Bone, which seems useful because of its high Fuse attack bonus until players realize just how fragile this material is.
Fusing it to a weapon only renders this bonus usable for a few hits before the bone breaks. However, if players have a decent supply of these bones, then nothing’s stopping them from fusing multiple Gibdo Bones to the Master Sword over and over until an enemy is down for the count.

6Molduga Jaw
A Powerful Material
Moldugas make an appearance inTears of the Kingdomtoo, even if their presence isn’t as notable as it was in the previous game. Still, there’s no denying that these massive monsters strike fear in the hearts of players whenever their iconic music plays. Defeating these monsters is as fun as ever. as players have to be more creative about peppering these foes with bombs.
Defeating these massive foes lets players loot a bunch of useful items, including a Molduga Jaw. This particular item is perfect for fusions with the Master Sword because. It provides an amazing attack boost, while also turning the Master Sword into a weapon capable of pulverizing the defense of armored enemies. It’s one of the most underrated fusible materials inTears of the Kingdom.

7Cannon
Turns The Master Sword Into A Projectile Weapon
The Cannon isone of the most powerful Zonai devices in the game. It launches a powerful projectile that knocks most enemies off their feet and hits for decent damage too. While this device is pretty useful in its way, what makes it stand out is when players attack it with a weapon or shield.
The Master Sword is a perfect fit for this weapon, given that it regenerates after breaking. Keep in mind that the Cannon itself will be lost forever once the blade has to recharge, making it important to use this weapon tactically to hit enemies at long range instead of flailing wildly with no plan.

8Lizalfos Tail
Great For Extending Range, Better With Elemental Buffs
Manyplayers of bothBotWandTotKare well aware of how annoying Lizalfos can be if players have to fight them in a group. These enemies dart in and out of battle, using their tongues and tails to hit Link when they’re out of his reach. Suffice it to say, the fact that players can obtain their tails in the sequel and attach them to their weapons is pretty useful.
Players can attach tails to weapons and increase their reach, and the Master Sword is no exception. If players have access to the tails of elemental Lizalfos, then the enhanced range of their attacks is further improved with the respective elemental effect. This burns foes, freezes them solid, or shocks them into dropping their weapons.

9Gleeok Horn/Wing
Enhances Damage, Along With A Benefit From Each Element
Gleeoks are some of the toughest foes inTears of the Kingdom, andmost players who see this enemy in the distancefor the first time would prefer to just take a wide berth and avoid this massive beast. The three-headed dragon is no joke and will obliterate unprepared players who aren’t ready to deal with its relentless assault.
Suffice it to say, a battle against a Gleeok is a pretty harrowing one, and players who use all their powerful weapons and resources to take out this foe will be rewarded with many useful materials that can be fused. The Gleeok wings and horns are useful in their own right, featuring elemental variants that add even more power to the Master Sword when fused.
10Silver Lynel Horn
The Best Lynel Material Wreaks Havoc
As one would expect, the Silver Lynel still stands strong as one of the toughest monster encounters in the game. Players have to be on their toes and figure out the best counters to their attacks if they wish to stand a chance of beating this intimidating foe. The rewards attained for besting this enemy are certainly worthwhile.
The Silver Lynel Horn is useful if players want to fuse a weapon to it, given the significant damage bonus afforded by the horn. Some people outright find it to be unbalanced, but most people won’t complain when they whip out the Master Sword with this material fused onto it to dish out some serious damage against enemies who have no idea what’s in store for them.
