Respawn confirmed that the Three Strikes LTM will return to the game much sooner than fans originally expected. Beginning tomorrow on November 23,Apex Legendsfans can play Three Strikes once again, although the mode is still only a temporary addition. It’s unclear how long the mode will remain in the game this time around.
Most LTMs inApex Legendsdo return eventually, but usually not for months. Three Strikes returning so quickly to the game may be a sign that the mode is on a fast track to be added permanently, assuming that fans continue to enjoy it. This has happened before withpopularApex LegendsLTMs such as the Control mode, which was permanently added earlier this year following continued fanfare surrounding the mode.
EachLTM offers a twist to theApex Legendsformula, with some twists being more significant than others. The Three Strikes mode gives squads three chances to win the match by allowing each team to respawn twice. Once an entire team is downed, they are respawned in skydive mode above a nearby POI (point of interest), with all of their loot intact besides supply drop weapons. Additionally, players are invincible upon entering the downed stage, making it so that players cannot be fully finished off until the entire team is downed. Reviving a teammate takes only one second, and upon revival, players are given 70 HP as opposed to the normal 20 HP.
These characteristics make for a fast-paced, intense game mode that truly does bring a new flow toApex Legends. Teams are more aggressive and there’s less pressure to avoid mistakes. And the idea of teams always spawning nearby creates a constant loop of action. FollowingApex Legends' Post Malone collab, the game is looking to continue its upward trajectory and satisfy its fans. Considering Three Strikes was one of the game’s most popular LTMs sinceApex Legendswas released, this is a promising development for fans of the battle royale.
